Can you do that? I want 100 watts to each speaker. Here's what I thought of for the speakers...

It should be alright as long as your amp's power isn't turned all the way up. Or you could bridge it, if the amp is made for it. But again, keep the pwer turned down if you go that route.

Or like this, either should work. But if you have a manul check it. Also, don't forget to turn the power all the way down to start with. Twice the power like this, so whatch it Shocked

Problem is with doing that is one will have more bass than the other. The amp has REAR and FRONT labelled each on 2 of the channels. Rear has some different settings than front :S

So is there no danger running the speakers like that at a low volume?

I should have asked this earlier: how is the amp hooked up the radio? Is it through the low pass with RCA cables or through the high input (the pig tall that prob. came with)?

Don't bridge the amp if you don't want extra power. That is without a doubt the dumbest thing I have read this morning. if you have a 4 channel amp that is a 400 watt amp trough the simple process of division 400/4=100. Just use 2 of the 4 channels.
the amp will produce less heat and draw less current.

yeah you can leave channels not doing anything. won't do any harm at all. it's just like having a lamp with no bulb in it... won't do the socket any harm but it's a waste of a good lamp! hehe

check out bcae1.com for some nice audio tips and lessons.

Alright, thanks a lot.

Now here's the REAL problem. The jackass who stole our amp last year clipped ALL the wiring and now I have no idea where the wires are coming from. I'll have to figure it out because only 4 should be coming from the tower. Ughh... God damn thieves Evil or Very Mad

qnev: might be able to use a 9V battery on the end of the wires to figure out which speakers go to the wire

Get a volt meter and set it up on CONN touch the 2 leads together and see if it tones. Great now that you have tone. start testling the leads when you get tone your on a matched pair
