I've got about 40$ worth of discount at wakeside.com right now but they're changing their rewards program soon so I need to get it spent before the 30th. I'm thinkin about pickin up a new Gooru or Vapor vest but I'm torn between sizes and wanted to hear a couple of opinions before I drop money on one of them. I've got a 43" chest which puts me right between XL and 2XL, I'm about 5'11" and 220lbs. One of my buddies says he knows a guy thats bigger than me and he wears just an XL, but I'm afraid that an XL might be a little too tight making it a little hard to breath. Would love to hear some opinions on the pros and cons of both vests (gooru and vapor) Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!

Id go for the gooru, its what i ride at the moment. I did have a vapour untill i left it at the cable on my last ride of the season, and didnt realise til the following spring.

The gooru is made out of 100% ultraflex, so it will conform to your body. And its worth getting the XL because you dont want it to be loose on you.

No, he's got it right. Gooru. Thats what I ride too and like it. My elastic cord on the bottom broke so it rolls up a bit when I take a hard spill but nothing horrible. No where near coming over my head. I used to have the A-10 and the Gooru is even more flexible than that.

LOL! Love how you dig up a thread from a couple of months ago to tell me that I spelled something wrong, when in fact I hadn't. Its been almost 4 months since I posted that....I've already bought a GOORU and even on hard falls it doesn't roll up on me. Its amazingly comfortable, but like a lot of people told me it doesn't float me well. I bought it for comfort though so I'm extremely happy with it. Very Happy

i've had both... both are sweet but i think i like the Vapor better... the gooru had a tendency to roll up a lot. even when you used the little "anit- roll up" thing and tied it to your shorts, it would just hike your shorts up. other than that they're both sick.
