SN2001 stereo question

originally i had planned on getting a kicker 750.1/kicker 850.4 to power a sub/speakers/tower speakers in my '87 SN2001 with a couple of optima blue tops/isolator. but after reading a few other's posts i'm concerned about the voltage with the alternator. as far as i know the electrical system is all stock....

So it would basically be almost 2000w RMS. I think this will be too much for the stock alt/wiring?? i think its only like 35 or so amps stock? can i replace the alternator with a 150+ amp or will it fry my wiring??

does anyone else have any big systems in their 2001's and what did you have to do to your boat to make it work

I had a JL1000 and kicker 800.4 with 2 6v golf cart batteries wired in series (equals 5 blue tops) under the bow along with a regular battery.

the wiring was original. the guy i bought it from said he put in a high out alternator.

I would run it as is and if your alternator goes out, then replace it
