This will probably be really easy for most of you stereo gurus out there. I ordered some tower speakers from my MC x2 (2007 now has pre-wired towers btw), and thought I would put them on myself. The speaker housing has a place for both a woofer/mid range and a tweeter.

There are two pairs of wires coming out of the tower at the mount point, and I have no idea if I'm supposed to use both pairs or just one. Also, the back of the woofer has 8 connections (4 each for + and -). Three of the four connections are on this mounting bracket thingy (techinical I know) and labeled in, sw, and tw. The other connection actually looks like it attaches to the speaker.

How does this sound? Assuming I should just use one pair, once I figure out which wire pair is for my speakers, plug it into the IN. Use a short cable to go from the sw labeled plug to the speaker attachment, and plug my tweeter wires into the tw jack.

BTW, which wire is positive, the one with or without the stripe? And could one pair be for tower lights (and if so how do I figure out which is which?)

Thanks.

Well I cant help you out with erverything because im not quit following you on some of it, but the wires with a stripe are negative, and the ones without are positive, the two sets of wires sounds like 1 set for each speaker allowing you to mount to speakers up there.
