Went boating at bullards bar this last weekend and i did something i dont normally do with my boat. I pulled it up to the shore, mainly so the ladies wouldnt have to touch the 62 degree water. Rolling Eyes Usually i dual-anchor the boat about 15 feet off shore and just walk to it. Anyway, when i went to start the boat it would just turn over and over. I thought it was the fuel pump because i was able to pinch the line going into the engine and because i have never, ever had this boat not start the first time. So on Easter, with only about 3 other boats on the whole lake i began to look for a tow. About an hour later i was able to flag someone down. As soon as we were all hooked up and beginning to move, i tried one more time to start the SOB, IT WORKED.

Was it mud blocking the water intake that caused the boat to turn over but not start, or should i take it into the shop?

nothing about the intake would affect the ability to start...if it was blocked it would only run hot and eventually overheat. It's unlikely that anything associated with the beaching caused the problem. Sounds fuel related to me, maybe an obstructed vent causing a vacuum in the tank?

Silly, but did you happen to accidentally try to start it in gear or with the kill switch flipped?
