I have a mate who is moving to Queensland soon, somewhere near surfers. Where abouts are you?
Damn it must be hot up there at the moment, it was 37 here yesterday, and I live in Tassie! _________________ Terminate high thinking |

Hey criminally_minded yeah been drafting for about 1 1/2 years now. I hate it! Last summer worked in an office overlooking the river. Used to spend most of the day staring out the window wishing I was riding!
Its good money just hate being stuck inside. Took this summer off and now doing some work for a builder, thinking about getting a trade.
DanWalton86 its been pretty warm here man, like 37 to 40ish for the last couple weeks, going riding most days in the chop just to get wet! |

About a month ago along with the relaunch of our web site Deja Vu Ski launched a discussion forum for watersports in Australia.
It is focussed just on the Australian Wakeboard and Waterski scene and whilst it has not been promoted or advertised that widely it has over 150 posts and 50 members...
Check it out here http://www.dejavuski.com/phpBB2/
It has heaps of discussions about everything from the demo days, which board is best and even a discussion about the crack down on excessive weighting of boats which is resulting in bans on wakeboarding at some great locations due to environmental damage from boat wake....
It has a classified add section to buy and sell your gear......
It even has all of the results from the local Australian events including the current Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding (APTW) with Watkins, Eisenhauer, Sanders to name a few....
There is also a heap of random giveaways like mag subscriptions and Rip Curl buoyancy vests...
If you are an Aussie or heading down under to ride check it out...
Check it out here http://www.dejavuski.com/phpBB2/
We would love your feedback on the forum....
Deja Vu Ski (Australia) is a group of owner operated professional watersports retail outlets committed to supporting Australian Watersports... |

Yeah, i'm from Queensland.... live on the Darling Downs but ski on the Brissie River.
A question for other Queenslanders on here.....are you annoyed that there isn't a APTW stop in our state? We've got as many good riding spots as any other state and more stable weather! Just a personal gripe. _________________ Dont' let go 'till you're six foot under !! |

| Yeah im from queensland as well. we ride on the Brissie river. As for A australian pro tour stop in queensland, we were approached to run the first event, but there was not enough time to get the event organized (eg council permits , venue, sponsors etc) for december as we also had to much on our plate running both the Australian and New Zealand x-games wakeboarding events. However dont worry the first tour stop next year will be in Queensalnd, most probally on the gold coast during december. |
