Since this is an 03 model it should have a warrenty. Take it back to the dealer and show them the problem. If they won't help sell it for another boat.

Sorry I can't give you more advice, but I'm not familiar with Sangers. I am familiar with boats though and that should not happen to a new boat.

It does happen on all boats eventually. I work for a malibu dealership. The spot that we have the most problems with when it comes to vinyl are at the rear corners of the v-drive boats on the seats. When i went for a tour at the malibu plant (which I highly recommend because they show you everything and everyone is very friendly) i asked why this keeps happening. The guy that was giving the tour siad that because people want no creases in the seat fabaric they have to stretch them very tight and when they step on them it has no way of stretching any farther than it already has. I made the stop at the plant on the way down to florida. While in Florida I went wakeboarding at gerry nunns house (a malibu rider). In his boat he had the vynil ripped at both corners of his boat.

They also may be using a weaker material than malibu does. So it should not be happening on a brand new boat.

Hope this helps,

Draper

they should put a seam there instead of stretching it. as far as the holes in the vinyl, they are'nt just making themselves. something in someone's back pocket or something. i tell you what if it was mine i'd be figurin' it out fast!

It probably wont be warranty unless its at the edges,or around the sewed areas. Sanger uses the same vinyl as other builders. It doesnt take much to tear it up. There's a few gifted people that can repair it perfect and not much $. One company is color glow, or contact a few boat dealers in your area, they definately know who can fix it. The same thing happens to new boats before they are even sold, either from showing the boat to customers or careless mechanics. Also remember when it gets hot out side the vinyl warms up and is less durable.
