|
|
I'm a student from Cal State San Marcos in San Diego, CA and I am doing a senior project that needs to be completed in order to graduate. My project is on the boat market. I was wondering if you experienced wakeboarders would be willing to answer a couple questions regarding accessories. It would be much appreciated. Thank you!
The questions are:
1. How important is lighting to wakeboarding?
2. Which brands do you prefer or which ones are considered the best?
3. When you buy lighting from a distributor do you also buy towers from them?
4. With even the best lighting, what are the problems that you face?
5. What improvements would you recommend?
6. Where do you purchase your products?
7. If there was the perfect tower lighting, what would it consist of?
8. What type of lighting have you purchased?
9. Do you remember what you paid for it?
10. What other action sports are you involved in that require the use of lighting products?
11. What is your age? and gender? |

| From what I have heard around here anyway is that night riding is illegal, whether you have lights on your boat or not. |

1. How important is lighting to wakeboarding? Not that important. I found it more helpful trailoring the boat than anything else.
2. Which brands do you prefer or which ones are considered the best? I don't know brands
3. When you buy lighting from a distributor do you also buy towers from them? The lighting on my boat didn't come from the tower mfg.
4. With even the best lighting, what are the problems that you face? It's illegal to ride at night with or without lights and it's not very easy either. Depth perception is bad even with the best tower lights. Also the lights detract from vision when they are aimed right at you.
5. What improvements would you recommend? For trailering a boat I like the lights that face down from the nose of the boat. For wakeboarding, get the laws changed and find a way to get more angles of lights on the wake that aren't as blinding.
6. Where do you purchase your products? local stores and online
7. If there was the perfect tower lighting, what would it consist of? Lights that don't draw bugs
8. What type of lighting have you purchased? fog lamps from the autoparts store
9. Do you remember what you paid for it? About $160 for the lights themselves
10. What other action sports are you involved in that require the use of lighting products?
11. What is your age? and gender? 26 M _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| Lights are nice to have get around the sand bars at midnight, other than that and docking they just add style. |
