After you steel the $700 software go to Barns and noble and buy a 40 dollar book. Adobe 6.5 classroom in a book is great. or you can steel Premiere 6.0 bible in PDF form of the net.

Drew, I've had the same problem a couple of times. Usually if I close Premiere and then start it again it works. And sometimes I've had to reboot for it to work - not sure why. Make sure your capture settings are correct for your camera and that you have selected Capture Audio/Video.

If it continues to happen, try saving the video anyway, then close Premiere and try to view the clip in Windows Media player (I'm assuming you're using a Windows PC). It may be that the capture is actually working just fine but the preview either isn't enabled or isn't working.

I hope this helps!

steelerguy after you finish bitching about people stealing software, you can note that you spelled "steal" wrong.

sometimes i get a black screen on my screen instead of whatever is supposed to be captured. i get audio and everything, just no video. i usually restart my comp and things are fine.
