Jacket or vest?
If you meant vest...
I've been riding the Jet Pilot 1986 for the past season and it floats very well, though a tad bulky. I'd say that for a bigger guy (like me) this vest is a great choice.
On the other hand, I also just got an '06 JP Falcon on closeout. I haven't gotten to try it yet. The fit is kinda snug but it still fits, even over my neo shirt or my full suit. If it floats decently, its a keeper.
For current models, I'd look at the Baller, the Core, the A10, or the Falcon. It all depends on whether you want less bulk or more flotation.
Take your pick.
Now...
If you meant jacket...
I'd say that the best deal right this second wasn't a Jet Pilot jacket but rather this Liquid Force Neo Top. I have this jacket and it is perfect for early spring and late fall. You can NOT beat this price.  |
