| On the CWB 2007 (hinge technology) Torq bindings, are the cables around the heel of the boot easy to replace without having to buy alot of new parts, cause i'll be riding in the ocean and i talked to a Represenative from buywake.com and he said that the cables on the bindings would carrode in about a year, even if a sprayed them off with fresh water.where would i be able to buy these cables??and what price ranges are they in. Or if this happens would it be better to just buy new bindings?? |

Me and my two riding buddies all have CWB hinge bindings. I have the '06 Torqs. One friend also has '06 Torqs and the other has '07 Factions (bought in '06).
We ride in salt too. Out of the three of us, I was the only one who consistently rinsed my gear in fresh water. Both of them have had to replace the cables on their bindings. They just snapped.
The good news is that buywake.com replaced them all under warranty at no cost, and swapping them out takes about five minutes. Unscrew the fittings from the boot, snap the old cable out of the housing, reverse the procedure for the new cables. Very, very simple.
I suspect that mine will go sooner or later too. When they do, it will be just a simple matter of changing out the cables. It really is no big deal. |

Like HHI Dave said it's no big deal . You only have 2 screws to free the cable. I couldn't find a price in my catalog but they can't be much. _________________ In God We Trust
