| I've been into wakeboarding for a little less than a year, and I just read a memorial profile in WakeBoard Canada about Mark. I know he was a very respected rider, but how his life ended was not mentioned. I guess it doesn't matter how, but I feel ignorant. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? |

| He had an allergic reaction to pain medication he received in the states. Apparently the medication or its coating is different here from the Australian equivelent. Freak and tragic accident... |

He had a bad reaction to some medication he took for an injury he got the day previous, and died in his sleep.
Looks like someone posted it before me.
No scandel, no choking on vomit, no drugs, no alcohol binges (apparently he had a 'beer or 2' with dinner before going to bed). Just an accident. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

thanks... terrible stuff. now I know. I had a friend die in Cuba who was pricked by a catus in the neck. He looked fine and everything, they sent him back to the resort and the next day he had a ceasure (sp?) and slipped into the pool. Turns out he had a bloot clot that no one ever checked out. They stabelized him enough to take the air ambulance home, but had a lot of brain damage. Family pulled the plug and he died a day later. That's why they call them accidents... you just can't have the insight of the concequences. _________________ 500 up |
