Alright so I bought some tower speakers that I installed last weekend (that sucked) and so I am very happy now. I keep my boat in a shop for the winter which works out great, but during the summer I keep it at my home with a cover on it. I ride about 3 days a week so my plan is to avoid taking the speakers on and off. I have been looking at the covers for sale on e-bay and was wondering how much protection they provide for the speakers (mine are not marine speakers). Is this a waste of money or is there a better way to keep them protected or should I just get use to taking them on and off.
Thanks for any input!

It'll help a little bit, they're not waterproof though..... I use mine mainly to keep the bugs and dirt off when trailering.

Most tower speakers are not "marine " speakers, as long as they are polypropeline & not paper speakers you shouldn't worry. I have Skylon Defcon III's & rain has never harmed them. I do have Speakersox for them but it's mostly to keep the bug kamikazis off. Hope this helps.

I went ahead and got some, heck they only cost 25 bucks. I was just wondering about protection from rain. thanks for the input.
