muckmeister, NO! I am not pulling a muck. I am just really out of it. I have been stoned out of my gord for the last few days working late into the night on the Jeep in a shop with no ventilation. So with the chemicals, and the paint I have been doing. I think I fried some brain cells.
Are you referring to all the "college sports" threads? 
Oh wait, I think my ride to lunch is here, gotta go.

College chess is fixed. The winner is always decided before the season even starts in an all-night Jolt and Twizzler infused Dungeons and Dragons tournament in the back of a comic book store near Area 51. Don't ask me how I know.

| I played on my high school chess team and it was a constant struggle to get the same recognition as the football team. The school finally caved and said we were "equals" and provided us with proportionate funding. The only problem was they refused to call us a "Team" and insisted we were a "Club". This angered me. |

I had the same problem with my hockey team, they said it was too violent of a sport, no sponsorship and or picture in the yearbook

muckmeister, yes. See the political thread.
Hockey was the only team I played on in high school, we had the same problem with lacrosse though. We requested a team and they said it was too violent, although they did have a girls lacrosse team.  |

I hate the College Chess Association. It's all about the money. Which is why they will never go to a playoff system. The Chess Bowl Games are all about money. It stinks.

I can't agree with that. It is why the season is the best in all of sports. EVERY MATCH COUNTS. One wrong queen to rook 4 and you are out of the National Title hunt....better luck next year.
Word from Jt09 is that MIT has three 5* guys already signed.... With that, I cannot see how they are not #1 next year. |
