Would you guys pay $127.50 for these speakers? I just did. I know you get what you pay for, but I'm looking to put some budget sound into my budget wakeboat. Definitely got them for less than the "Buy It Now" price of $298.50. Did I get a deal or did I get duped?

If you paid 298.50, I'd consider you buttraped. Not a bad price, I'd guess the speakers alone are around 60 bucks.
I'd try to find some sort of rubber gasket type stuff to put in between those clamps and your tower. If you don't, they're going to mar the snot out of your new monster! Did you end up getting your MT powdercoated? |

You could also just take those original bar clamps off and order a pair from monster, they'd look a lot better and wouldn't 'mar' up the coating.
Not too bad though; you should look at how they are constructed and make your own, if those come out well, sell these. _________________ Neuston Boards

dirtysparks, Yeah, I was planning to put some sort of rubber padding between the mounts and the tower. My tower's polished and anodized, not powdercoated.
What do you guys think of this? Worth $300.00?

Considering the lights are damn near useless and kind of large, I wouldnt think so D.
I do think the original can speakers are worth what you paid. Those brackets have to go though, look at those huge corners! Gonna eat your new MT. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

Those are the smaller brackets. The auction said to specify if larger brackets are needed. I think they'll probably look more like these.
EDIT: Also, according to the L.A.S. website, the mounts come with pressure glued rubber inserts (not shown) to protect the tower. Should be ok I think. (I hope) |

I have a pair, they are a good cheap alternative. Once I graduate in May and get a job I plan on upgrading and using the speakers in those cans to replace the interior speakers in my boat. And u paid less than I did but mine fire forward and backwards |

They look pretty cool and at a good price. I would get new clamps also. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
