| So, I just got off the phone with Tom at Monster Tower. I ordered my tower and 1 wakeboard rack. I already have one brand new Monster wakeboard rack sitting here, along with a billet mirror arm/mirror from DIY wake. The tower should be here within 1-2 days. Woooo hooooo!!!! |

Congrats, you won't be dissapointed in the quality of the Monster tower. I used to have one on my old boat and I loved it (I got mine back when they were $999 shipped ) _________________ Neuston Boards

A buddy of mine who used to work on boats installing fishing t-tops is going to help me with the install. Shouldn't be a problem I don't think.
BTW, I can't recall who it was that posted on here about buying a blem tower from Monster on Ebay but...I asked the guy if they had any blems and apparently, they have several. Got the tower for $1095 shipped, saved $100.00. I was hesitant, but he said they've never gotten one sent back because of the blem and it carries the same full warranty as all of their towers. |

But wait, there's more! Ordered my stainless prop today too. Went with a Michigan Wheel Apollo. It uses their "XHS" hub system. Supposed to be a failsafe against spinning your drive. If you stop the prop dead, the hub is designed to give rather than grinding your drive to dust. These things are priced right from "wholesale-marine" on Ebay. I went from the stock 14 1/4" x 21p to a 14 1/8" x 19p. Hope to get a little more holeshot on takeoff.

Dave, why didn't you go for a 4 of 5 blade while you were upgrading? _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

I guess because I wasn't aware of the benefit. What is it? |

I always thought of the four blade to benefit by allowing for a faster hole-shot and getting the boat up on plane better (benefit if you weight down a lot). _________________ Neuston Boards

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'll just have to stick with the 3 blade stainless prop since its already on the way.
Rhawn, thanks for the link to the I/O thread. Some good info in there.
BTW, I just now bought this 600 lb sac with a pump on Ebay for $96.00 shipped. I'm planning to set it in the center of the bow between the seats.

YAY!!! The tower and the prop got here today!!!
I dropped the prop off at the boat dealership. They are doing some warranty work (replacing a ripped seat cover) so I'm going to let them swap the prop.
Sunday, we're putting the tower on! Can't wait!!! |
