ontrider, You forgot about drinking copious amounts of crappy beer, beating their girlfriends, and fishing old tires out of the lake for souvenirs.

I think the best part about the whole thing is that there's stickers for Bass Pro Shops on the towers of some/all of them Laughing

It's a smart move. With limited production they will move all of them that they build. Are they only doing it to the Enzo though, or can you order any model?

Also, by targeting Nascar fans by being at every race, they are instantly marketing to 100,000+ people a week that attend the races. That doesn't include any on-air time they will get. It can't have anything but a positive impact on the brand.

NASCAR is for people who can't spell, spell spell, or read spell. White trash on a stick.
Also, Alliance sucks.

I will. My brother is a financial planner for three NASCAR drivers. Quote "It's like a group of high school kids started making 20 mil a year. I have to babysit their electric bills."
They're a bunch of hicks who make a pile of cabbage off bigger hicks.

You Mississippi boys like NASCAR right? I bet a goat and sheep farm with TV's playing NASCAR is your dream.

1. I don't live in MS or on a farm. In fact I have a Masters degree and two professional certifications, so keep letting your ignorance show through.

2. Find me any mid-20's guy that has 20 million in the bank and let's see if they are nothing more than a big kid. Nascar, NFL, NBA, they are all big kids. Hell, if I had 20 million in the bank I would be a big kid and wouldn't give a $hit about my electric bill.

3. You know nothing about the sport or the fans. You are just going on old prejudice that isn't entirely the case anymore. Sure it has a redneck background, but go to a race and check out the fan base. It isn't the #2 most watched sport in the country based on a bunch of rednecks.

Like I said before, it's a good move in my opinion. It is tapping a large audience with lots of disposable income. Next time you get bored go to a Nascar race and look around the infield and the outside camping areas. New trucks and $100,000+ motorhomes everywhere you look plus a television audience of 5-10 million a week. It's a manufacturer with a product suited to people with disposable income's wet dream.

brew, x2. Well said. B_Fool, pull your ignorant head out of your ass, and see the business potential in this.

Sure I think the boat looks turd ugly. But brew is right. The fan base reaches from bottom of the barrel to guys I know that fly in on their jet, get a limo ride to their $1.2 million motorcoach, and enjoy steaks made by their own chef.

They are getting their name out to some very wealthy people.

The reason Nascar is the #2 watched sport is because there are so many rednecks and it's the only sport they can comprehend. Any other sport only serves to confuse them with all the rules. But Nascar, "well hell Jed, dude's turnin left, then I think he's gonna turn left again, then, when he's done turnin left, he's gonna turn left. Rolling Eyes Yeah, nice sport. I don't think the boats will sell because they're too expensive to park 6 of them on your lawn and let them rust.

I can't believe how ignorant B Fool and Epic are...I own a mortgage brokerage, live in California, and love Nascar. Does that make me a red neck? Its like Brew and Haugy said...may not be my favorite looking boat, but very good marketing idea. You jealous??

It's ugly as sin, but as a business idea probably brilliant.

To all those who dis NASCAR (myself included), we may find it difficult to comprehend the sport or see the appeal of it to so many. But I noticed something at the last 49er game I was at and reflected back on many of the sporting events I have attended and there isn't much of a difference in fan base between sporting events. The core of most sports is largely white trash.

Who else get's amused by a guy turning left or catching a ball so much that they feel the need to wear items of clothing or place stickers on their vehicle supporting their favorite millionair who can't pay his own electric bill.

Yes it does. There are plenty of "necks" in California. And anyone that gets amused by watching a car drive in circles is by definition, a "neck." Also, as I'm sure you're aware, you don't even need a high school diploma to open up a mortgage brokerage. After all, you can take the neck out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the "neck."

Ignorance... You call your self an action sports enthusiast, but you can't appreciate 30 some cars going arond a track at around 200 mph sometimes within a foot of each other? Not extreme enough for ya?
I'm not a big fan of the sport, but I have a respect for it and the drivers.
Personally I don't find the boats appealling at all, but like others have said "as a marketing idea it's brilliant"

I can appreciate it, it's just that my brain requires more stimuli than watching billboards on wheels drive in circles. Just like I can appreciate an opera singer for their voice, doesn't mean I can watch it for more than 2 seconds.

I have often described myself as a person with redneck tendencies (mx, fishing, hunting) but wouldn't park one of those NASCAR Centurions in my slip unless someone gave it to me and even then..... Rolling Eyes Having said that, I think this might be a good bet for Centurion though. Obviously these boats aren't going to appeal to your typical wakeboarder.com rider, but think there is a definite market for 'styleee' wakeboard boats amongst the NASCAR legions and plenty of people there that can afford them too. Yeah the NASCAR fan probably won't be throwing BS180s and they will pull more tubers than anything, but suspect many of them would be proud driving around their local lake with a cooler full of Busch in any of those rigs.
