It goes on the holes for Hyperlite boards that have the byerly lock holes (the Byerly, Catalyst, Kharma, etc.)
with that on, the rider can use it for nose presses, locks into to ledges, etc. Not really recommended for everyday riding when you arent hitting sliders. Cassette did something similar with it's 4 track but used two individual fins... some wakeskaters started using ping pong balls covered in epoxy to get a similar effect, making smith grinds, feebles, etc. possible |

Thanks for the response.
My new Catalyst has the mounting holes for a Byerly lock and I just didn't know what it was. Don't really see myself needing one anytime soon either.  _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com
