Has anyone read the article about the Democrats leaving Austin? Here is the link, I think it's a very childish action they have taken.

It's also on www.CNN.com as well. It seems very... french to me. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. Get your $*** together Billy, cause the night ain't over!"

Well, they apparently better stay in Oklahoma! Texas Rangers and State Police have orders to bring them in.
Wish I could protest my job like that. In the private sector, it's called 'quitting'. |

The Texas types who are pissed (read: Gov Perry) are seeking a Federal order to "extradite" them back to TX. I understand them making a point, but they say until the GOP "releases it's stranglehold" on TX politics, they will stay away. Ummmm....aren't the reps VOTED in? Shouldn't the Dems try to win a freakin election to "release" the stranglehold?
The real problem is that they are probably right in their reason for leaving - the GOP types are looking to redistrict and the Dems are saying it will favor the GOP. Shocker that. |

The dem's actaully walked out in 79 over a bill that was already approved and the Dem govenor at the time had promised to sign it into law. I think there is something wrong when people that only work 140 days a year are leaving work for a few days over something that might pass. I'm also assuming they are going to try and write this off as a travel expense. This is the first time there has been a republican majority in Austin since... reconstuction? What a bunch of cry babies! _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. Get your $*** together Billy, cause the night ain't over!"
