|
|
Hi!
I was out today and for the first time I tried a tantrum..
At first I couldn't get my rotation going but after a while I was flipping all right..
Like my last 3 attempts I actually hit the water with the board under my feet, the problem I seem to have is that when I land my board is rather perpendicular to the boat than as it should be when u'r hitting a tantrum. The other problem I have is that I won't get it out in the flats, but rather land it just before the other wake... ?
I can do a 360 and bs 180 w2w with that speed and take fs 180's and grabs out into the flats...
Should I increase speed (I can't really shorten my rope, I'm at 70 feet and that is as short as my a-line goes...)?
Any suggestions would be great, hopefully I will be able to go out again in the beginning of next week and then stick my tantrum.. =)
Thanks!

Try just cutting REALLY hard into the wake. Because you have to stop edging to get the trip, you need to compensate for the speed you lose. _________________

| You do need a good progressive cut into the wake but don't edge like you are going to do a railey otherwise there will be to much tension on the rope when you go over and the handle can get pulled right out of your hand. If this happens concussions will be a reality trust me it happened to me after years of throwing tantrums. |

| As far as your board landing incorrectly. I'd say you may not be letting go of the handle soon enough with your back hand. When you start to turn your board so that it is parallel to the boat (to "trip" you) let go of your back hand then. Hope that helps. |
