I live in Fresno-CALIFORNIA! It's still 70 some days. All my regulars have totally disappeared. I thought I had some die hards, or at least a few people that rode for the wakeboarding, no matter if it's a little chilly. Waaaaa.
Anybody else have similar issues? |

IF i had a drysuit, i'd consider going in chillier weather (high 50's - low 60's), but the hard thing is, no one else will go with me anyway. it is way too stinking cold here now anyway - 50's at best in the day (usually 40's or 30's) _________________ you have the right to remain silent, so shut the hell up! |

Just my opinion, and I love wakeboarding, but it is definately not as much fun in cold water, no matter what you're wearing.
I do live in Texas, where you can easily trunk it from April to October, and I don't mind putting on a shorty in March and November (as long as it's warm outside), but the winter months are for the skate park and snowboarding trips. Plus, the 4 or 5 month break from it keeps me fresh and hungry to get out on the water when the time comes.
Kudos to ya'll who charge the wake year round, it's just not for me. |

If you ever feel like driving a few hours up to berryessa I ride year round. Especially on those 65 degree and endless butter days in late November and early december. _________________ |

High 60's, with a water temp in the 60's is about as low as I will go. I will go with 50 degree water if the sun is out though. Gets miserable otherwise. _________________

What do you wear at Berryessa in the winter? Will a shorty work, or do you have a full wet suit? |

I wear a full wet suite. I have trunked it before in feb. but it simply wasn't very enjoyable because my lims were numb. But its not bad at all with a wetsuite.
edrex, Do you ride at Berryessa a lot? If so we should hook up and ride some time. _________________ |

I haven't been there yet. Just got my boat in Sep and have been taking it to Lake Sonoma because I grew up near it and I know where it is. Been wanting to try out Berryessa but haven't had a chance yet.
If you ever need a third to go out shoot me a PM.
Cheers,
ed. |

Hehl man, I'm just up the road from ya in Fair Oaks and agree, there has been PLENTY of killer days to ride lately.
However, my boat is nicely tucked away and the big reason... if I boarded all year, when would I go get my Moto on?
Sorry bucko... after the first good rain of the year, it's dirt bike time. _________________ My beer drinking friends have a wake boarding problem. |

of course i admit, those weeks it gets down to the 50's and below... maybe 60's... i dont want to catch pnemonia again. but we rarely get that cold of weather any way.

| I love fall riding! Went out today...about 50 air 50 water...sunny, only 1 or 2 fishing boats...water was a mirror. Went right down the main channel which during the summer would have tons of boats and 2 foot rollers. |
