is winching just for gaps and drainage ditches? other than that where do you use them?... i have most of the parts sitting around to make one but will i have much use for it even though we have a lake house and a new wakeboat?

Its a lot of fun in the surf at the beach.. you can hit waves like giant wakes. And the things you mentioned of coarse gaps, ditches, etc. Couple important factors beyond where is why.. like you can ride all day for a dollar or two in gas, you can go anywhere there is water period, you dont need a boat. Starting to hear about people using them in the snow too.. You can do anything your imagination can work up.
