I was going to follow this method for making speaker cans since we have basically everything but the fiberglass. We have a set of 6x9's and other pair of speakers i don't know the size of.

I don't think we are going to follow the last step of having it upholstered to keep the polished aluminum look to match our tower. But in one of the steps the entire outside is fiberglassed. Now could this step be skipped to keep the polished look, but still fiberglassing the inside. Or is there some type of clear protective material we could put on the outside to prevent rust or speaker corrosion. Also what type of fiberglass should we use?
Also does anyone have any suggestions for making a way to paint some logos onto the cans. Like having a O'Neill, Billabong, Quiksilver, Ronix, and our boat company. Or should i just buy some stickers |

You don't need to fiberglass.... It just adds a little strength and keeps it more watertight. If you have marine speakers there should be no worries there. Not sure what type of glass to use.
If you're getting the cans upholstered, I don't think you'd want to use stickers because that would be like putting stickers on the seats in your boat... It's vinyl. If you want logos, you could just stencil and spray. _________________

I'm not going to get them upholstered. I want the polished aluminum look to match the tower. _________________ RIP DLS.
