i hate to say this... but i hope you all realized that A LOT of colleges won't accept AP credit!! neither AP chem or bio satisfied for replacement of the intro courses at the universities i looked at. i hope for your sakes, you did some research before hand. i did do my research, i took them any ways because my daddy made me (i wasn't 18 yet, so i couldn't technically claim my adulthood).
congrats! at least its over, right?! i hope you all get 5s!!
take care.

dave.
did you know that taking the AP test is not the only way of getting credit for college in spanish/foreign language??? almost every competative college has a foreign language enterence exam that everyone has to take. depending on that score (my uni didn't accept AP scores), you not only receive placement in a course, but you can also completely clep out of it (AND receive full credit). |

Didn't know that Frankie. I took the AP Spanish test at my school to see if I could get into Spanish 3 AP my junior year. I got in, but it's gonna be HARD! _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. If you do not know how to ignore it, complain to me in a PM and I will show you how. |

| I'm lookin at Madison for engineering, and they take AP credit for just about anything. I got both calcs, history, and bio done this year and next year it's statistics, chem, and english. I could take the spanish one too but I hear you pretty much have to be a native to pass it, so I'll just take the entrance exam at the college- which I hear is much easier. Plus if I took any more I'd probably need phantom to put my head together again. |

| the good thing that came out of it for me was no teachers assigned any homework. Heck, we didn't work period. I didn't have any AP tests though so it made my life a TON easier |

The best thing about the ap tests at my school (i don't take em for a couple years) is that they let you leave after your done. Most everyone was done by noon and they got the rest of the day off, so in a way, there not all bad _________________ -And my eyes get red in the back of your head..this place will make you blind |

| dont worry I think everyone bs'ed the essays. If you had specifics in one of them and got half the multiple choice I guaruntee you've got a solid 3 at least. |

How'd you get both Calcs done this year Chales? Weren't they both at the same time???
Chales is right about the US History test. I took it last year and I was certain I was going to get under a three, but I somehow got a four instead. |

I took the AP bio test on monday. man, the multiple choice was nothing compared to some of the essay questions they asked. I think my teacher gives harder multiple choice tests than the AP test. but it still sucked. _________________ So, uh i just steer with this handle, and it's basically up to my riding abililllity. |

I start my first AP tests next year. I'm 15 in a month or so.
JJ - You can get both calcs in one year if you have an accelerated course. They have that at my school for some of the students. They make it like, Calc ABC or something like that. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

Mabye if you take the BC test they automatically assume you know ab. That seems logical. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

| Why don't they allow you to take the classes until you are a junior? I know several kids at my school who took AP calculus AB and BC as freshmen. |

| if youve taken algebraI thru AlgebraII in your previous school theyd probly let you do AP but there are six class you must take each year and that gives you room for one more but your seventh class must be an elective. |

The only AP i take next year is AP European History. It's a really tough class, you have to stay after school till like 5 every other day. When i get to Junior year all my classes will be AP or Honors except foreign language and religion.
A kid in my class is really pissed cuz he wants to take AP Calc next year, but the school doesnt want him to cuz they think hes too young. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

| I'm kinda confused about this AP thing. R some of u taking them in grade 11? At my school u have to take math 12 then u are able to take ap calculus. Same for history. The only ap class that u can take is english without english 12 |

Junior Year: AP American History, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Spanish, AP Latin (For students that qualify)
Senior Year: AP Biology, AP Physics, AP English, AP Spanish, AP Government, AP Economics, AP Calclus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics
I prolly missed a few, but whatever. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

| We can basically take the classes what ever year we wish to as long as we complete the classes that precede the AP class. We can have a bunch of electives here though. |

Yeah, our school is a little scarce in the electives department, and we cant really start taking a bunch of electives until our junior year. Frosh and soph are really structured, adn everyone takes pretty much the same classes. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

| The school can't stop you from taking an AP Test (whenever or whichever) you want. If you want to take it then just study for it. Its your money, the school doesn't care. |

So yours saying that i dont have to take the AP class, but i can still take the AP test if i want to? That doesnt make a lot of sense. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |
