Dave, I know many threads don't provide useful information. That's fine...that's just the way it is. But some threads are taken way too far...and are deleted or locked just to keep things in line. If we let every useless thread go without moderating, then they would fill the boards and it would be tough to find the useful content, which is out there somewhere.

Everything dies some time...it was just "Creamy or Crunchy"'s time to die.... heh

yes the thread was like a chat but it could be done without everyone on at the same time-----to use the chat multiple people must be on at the same time and PM's only go to one person instead of a group--this is a sad day WB.com history Evil or Very Mad

josh - its the moderators job to do that kinda stuff. we can't hate them for it.

Jello John, we just moved the site to a new physical server yesterday. As I mentioned before, since the thread was so large it put somewhat of a strain on the database driving the forums. Part of the server move was streamlining things...and that thread has been a candidate for being killed for a long time. Yesterday just happened to be that time.

I agree, consistency would be good...but if we were 100% consistent then it would either be all content that so much as bent the rules would be canned (which would suck), or no content would be canned in which case the forums would be overrun by B.S. threads that are of interest to four people out of several thousand. The way right now that things are kept in line is only things that push the limits are killed. A lot of things that bend or break the rules are allowed...look at it that way.

its all good, there were some valid points in here, but ya, Mike, that idea you and Dragon had at the end of that convo seems great, that would help, would it be possible to do that,l ike make a little forum thing where you can only post in it with invatation or something, and it could be all stupid stuff, and useless junk that wont clog up the acuall forums? that would be awsome
