use a butterfly drill bit to drill out about a 1/2 or 3/4 inch hole in the top, then use a long driver bit to put the screws through the bottom.

in my opinion toggle nuts... you can find them at any hardward store and it leaves the top of the pvc solid and smooth

ELC, it just gets hard to attach them a couple of feet into the pipe.

ELC, I'm pretty late on this, but that is a great idea. I can't believe I never thought of that.
LakeIolaLuke, it would be the same anywhere in the pvc, you don't screw the nut on by hand. |
