Hey guys, I know you are probably tired of answering what board should I get questions, but I have looked all over for a review of this board and have tried these forums to get information about this board but I just can't find anything.

So my question is, is the CWB Factor a good board for me. I just started I can get up, and move around, haven't worked on jumping or anything yet, but I plan to when I get the basics down (in other words I want a board that I can progress with).

I am going to order the board I think from BuyWake, seems like they have the best deals and seem trustworthy. So here is the link to the board I am thinking about: http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/CW_839Hb

My last question is, how is the Pure?, it seems like a nice board but I thought it might be to advanced for me, and it is $30 more.

Thanks in advance sorry for the long post,
-rahvcap

PS: I live in FL so the season isn't really going to end for me, I've got wetsuits if it even gets cold enough for them. Laughing

The Factor would be a great board for you, I ride an 06 Pure and I've just one season under my belt. I love my board. Do you plan on getting the Torq bindings? I highly recommend the hinge tech bindings.
But for and extra $40 you can get an 06 Pure with 07 Factions, Staying in around the $400 package I think that is a great set up and great value.

As you've no doubt read, try to demo a few boards to find out what type of board suits you. If you don't have a shop near you then read up and do your homework. But either set up would make a great starter packeage and they would not impeed your progress.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I like the factor, but I think I should go with the Pure, mainly because its a little bit smaller and I'm pretty light. I like my friends 134 so I'll just stick with that. Now my only problem is the Factions or the Torq boots. I can get a Pure with Factions for 10 bucks more than getting them with the Torqs. Are these boots much better, or are they too advanced for a beginner like me? This is my last question, I'll be ordering it soon. Laughing

Yeah, I wish I could get to a shop, but none of the shops around here offer demos, they are mainly boat shops with some wakeboards, plus the ones around here don't sell any CWB or hyperlite, mostly cheaper ones.

rahvcap,

The Factions and the Torqs are very similar bindings, both use the same hinge tech system. I have Torqs and love mine. My buddy has Factions and loves his. Can't go wrong with either one. Also, personally I would pick the Pure over the Factor, but that's up to you.

I've had several transactions with Buywake.com and have been extremely pleased with their customer service. Every order has been on my doorstep within 48 hours. Any time I've called them on the phone, the person on the other end was an obvious wakeboarding enthusiast and was very helpful. Those guys rock. Cool Cool Cool

I agree with HHI Dave, I got my package from Buywake, and I'd highly recommend them.

For the extra 10 I'd get the Factions, I got Torqs with my board but sold them and bought Zeus cos they offer more support. The Factions are in between the Torq and the Zeus support wise. I don't think you can get a binding that is too adavnce for a rider, just that the bindings become a bit more specialised and tend to mold to your foot so it's a good idea not to let anyone else ride them.

For their higher support, an extra year of development, and becasue they'd look sick on a black Pure my vote goes to the Factions. $10 well spent.

Don't forget that the Pure is the old Absolute shape (04 I think) so it's a proven board.

I've packed mine up for the rest of the year cos our season is over Puppy Eyes Crying or Very sad
Enjoy your new set up what ever you get.

The fractions also have a extra neopream overlay over the toe area for a better fit.

Thanks for all the help. I decided on the factions, unfortunately they are on backorder, I guess I might be waiting just a little bit longer to get out on my new board. Too bad I can't get it before the 3 1/2 day weekend. Crying or Very sad Whatever, thanks guys I'm gonna try to stick around here, I like the forums a lot. Smile
