well as far as companys go, for a decent price and a good skate id say oak, but if you want a compression skate that costs alot but will last forever id say get a integrity. Rocker you want 3 stage, length, in your weight id say a 41 inch. If you dont want to spend alot of money evogear.com has the liquidforce controle in a 41 on sale for 120. _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

Robert Harp,
I have bought both wood and composites, the wood has been pretty disappointing actually, at least for me.
Oak's are the best wood boards if you want to go that route imo.
Considering you are Glock boy, and Glocks run about 500+ I am sure you have enought cash to buy a composite that will last forever.

As much as I don't want to say it, a heavier wakeskate seems to be better for riding.
One of the most important things that I've noticed about different wakeskate (wood vs. composite, rocker type, etc) is how deep the board rides in the water and how heavy it is. Heavier boards are much eaiser to do shuvits and wake-to-wakes on; however, wood boards tend to get beat up much faster.
Honestly, if you're just starting out, go with something relatively cheap like a HL scape or the LF armada, both are great boards, but will give you a good idea as to what you're looking for in a skate. _________________ Neuston Boards

DONT GET A SCAPE!!! If your gonna get a cheap wood skate, atleast get on that will last you as long as posible. Get a controle from www.evogear.com I just got mine in a 42, I love it, and for 120$ shipped its a steal. _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

I got a scape for $50 off of ebay two years ago, still rock it today (but it has been cut down two inches and has had a concave added to it).
Just find any skate you can ride for a year, then just go from there. _________________ Neuston Boards

Weight has nothing to do with how deep a skate sits, it's all edge shape.
Integrity has customizable edges on our skates.
I do like some weight in my skate though. _________________ ...island style... |
