People have generally been happy with Monster towers. I also like the Titan towers. Though it takes a bit to get use to the look, both of these are solid as a rock.
Long story short, I would look at Monstertower.com or Titanwake.com.
Add: It should be noted that I have never touched a Monster tower, so my "solid as a rock" statement re: them is related to word of mouth. I assume since they are very Titanesque, their stability is =.

great info guys thanks. I've seen the monster, I'll check the other one as well. Any thoughts on the big air towers?

Also, total newbie question but, why are some towers mounted closer to the rear of the boat?

hi
I installed a Big Air tower 2+ years ago. It has been rock solid with no noise so far
Installed it by myself in about 7 hours, a helper would have cut the install time in half.

Based on recommendations from this forum as well as studying their website in depth, I'm going with a Monster tower for my boat. A tower, two board racks, and a mirror for just over $1800.00 shipped is a helluva deal if you ask me. And they seem to have LOTS of satisfied customers. Plus (and I know some disagree), I think the Monster is one of the more badass looking universal towers available. I love the fat tubing.
I'm currently saving up for the tower... 2/3 of the way there. I will have it before the spring.
EDIT: BTW, this Tahoe pictured on their website is identical to mine.

I have a BigAir on my I/O. I like the Monster Tower look, but only on the ski boat conversions. Here is my giant tug.

| Unlike the monster tower, it looks like with the big air, I could use the original bimini. Do those of you who have it still put up the original boats bimini or is purchasing another necessary? If comparing the prices of the two, adding a bimini would tack on another 500 bucks. Any thoughts???

Monster has hot chicks that like to hang out by their towers so... I would get one and put it in your bedroom.

here's a pic of bimini and tower up on mine - bimini was added after we bought the boat. But as you can see, plenty of room for it.

No - Taylor Tower - very similar, but one difference I do know is the way it's attached to the boat. They have a patent pending design that doesn't use rubber gaskets, pretty cool the way they do it.
you can check them out here - www.taylortowers.com

Thanks for the photo barelfly, looks awesome. I did speak with taylor towers last week. Sound and looks like a great tower. They claim it will fit around my bimini. And they were pretty happy with their mounting hardware. The price however at $ 2550.00 delivered is higher than others. Keeping the original bimini would offset the price though. Decisions, decisions . Nice settup, thanks. BTW, I think I saw your boat on their site

Those Taylor Towers are nice, but yeah kind of pricey. I guess if a bimini is a must-have, it would be worth the price if you can keep your original top.
I took my bimini off a couple of months ago because it was just in the way. Don't really foresee me needing it either.
Barelfly, that's a great looking rig.

| Depending on how you mount your monster, there is a possibility of keeping the original bimini.
