What finish to use on bottom of wakeboard

Hi all! I bought a blem wakeboard for my 8 year old son. The blem is that there is no finish on the bottom of the board. Any recommendations as to what I should use? I was thinking of high gloss polyurathane? Is this the best option or does anyone know what the gloss coat is that they use in maufacturing?

its probably just a clear coat like you are thinking. honestly you can probably lay down a nice coat of carnuba wax on it if you really feel like getting out on it immediately should do the trick temporarily. i'm sure there is a better solution out there though.
