|
|
Ok let me start by saying that the only thing that I can do is a W2W HS. Now I was using a Hydroslide Freedom Wakeboard Package and I broke one of the bindings. So I went and got a new board. I got this: http://www.the-house.com/wkfm42xlrzzfreemotion.html
I feel a lot more control with the new board but I can not clear the wake. I land in the middle of the wake. I lost all my pop. I am actually edging better and getting more speed but the jump is short. Any hlep will be apreciated.
Thank you |

| how long have you been clearing the wake for, and have you rode your new board since the time you could only land half wake |

| I was clearing the wake for a while. Actually I tried the old board and I was able to clear the wake with the broken binding. |

once you can clear the wake, I guess you have the technique down...
Are u sure you are doing a good progressive edge and stand tall at the wake?
can 't believe you have good pop with the old one and no pop with the new... _________________ * riding finless teaches you to get your edge down properly, when you do it with fins, you'll be able to cut like OJ Simpson

try and put your new bindings on your new board, if that doesnt work then just stick with the new board, i just think its all in your head.
and also if you can bring the rope in shorter, and maybe speed up if you are comfortable with that |

If the board is the real problem and it's not mental I would attribute it to one of two things. Either the rocker type, or how wide the board is in the middle. If the rocker is less aggressive on your new board, then that could be why you are experiencing less pop. However, the board that you bought has a progressive 3-stage, so unless your hydroslide had a more aggressive 3-stage, that's probably not the problem. All other things being equal, a board with more width at the middle of the board would give you more pop than a board with less width in the middle. For example, if two boards have the same amount of surface area, the one that is shorter and fatter should generate more pop than the longer skinnier board. That's the concept behind the LF Fish.
All that is just a technical explanation to what might be going on. I don't know what to tell you to fix it, other than focus on good form (progressive edge, stand tall, blah blah blah.) Good luck. _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

I'm assuming you meant putting the new bindings on his old board?
And if that is what you meant, it's probably what you should try ccameselle. _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |
