I'm going to go out on a limb and say that only YOU can decide which board is best for you. If you're lucky enough to live near someplace where you can demo some boards, then that is probably the way to go.
If you're a newbie wakeboarder (like I am) then I think any decent quality board (in the proper size) will probably serve your needs.
I'm biased toward CWB myself. _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com

---DAN---, If you've only been wakeboarding for a year I wouldn't suggest getting a parks, but if you can demo the boards do so. _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

---DAN---, not Parks. The thing I've always been told about Parks' board is "only PARKS can ride a Parks."
The landings are real washy. it's got such an abrupt three stage rocker and that gives it a HUGE flat spot on the bottom. also lands hard as hell, which could be why his knee is messed up. |

If you are a wake to wake rider the parks is awesome. You need to be really consistant on your pop and understand that this board will launch you up - if you're off, you better be able to correct mid air.
The board is very fast, and rides much better with .7 fins on it. I've been riding my 03 parks for about two years and love it. The only complaint I have about the board is that it is tail heavy (making the overall board heavy), but if you are just starting out the parks will make you take more falls to the head than you may like.
What is your skill level? what tricks are you landing consistantly? What board do you ride now? ALl helpful information.
But DEMO boards, demo boards with different shapes/rockers/sizes/etc/etc/etc. _________________ Neuston Boards

A LOT of the parks hating on here is hear-say. Ride the Parks board, ride other boards. Don't hate the player hate the game... it's all personal preference when it comes to riding, do whatever feels best for you.
With that said, you may also want to ride the Shane. Handles very well, but is much lighter than the Parks - the shane is VERY VERY similar to the Watson, so if you cannot test out the shane, hit up the Watson (if you can find one). Haven't heard too much about the PS3 though.
Good luck with the search _________________ Neuston Boards

Sinkoumn, yeah, no "hearsay" here. Ridden it plenty.
The thing is great if you are going for 8 seconds and wearing a stetson.
---DAN---, You've been riding for 1 year? Where are you at - i.e. what skill level? Can you go W2W? Ride switch? Etc?
If you cannot do some of the above I would highly recommend getting something less aggressive. Note - I didn't say less advanced - just less aggressive. _________________

chavez, bah. The Parks board was the only thing I ever liked that HyperTite did. Some say the pop is unpredictable, but I never thought this at all. The landins were ass though, and the board had a really ass backwards ride when going at it switch.
Depends on which style you like better, but the Transcend is a much better all around board. What year are you looking at though?
I will sell you my 06 Transcend dirt cheap. It looks terrible though. It was my slider board! _________________

Blake, I didn't say it wasn't fun. Closest thing I will ever do to riding a bull short of a mechanical one. _________________

chavez, right.. Fun to ride, and riding it every trip are two different meanings. The Parks is like a fat girl... Its fun to be on it, because everyone gets a laugh, but you dont want to be on it every ride! Better Chavez? _________________
