| that looks like it is going to hurt. i can do them, but i don't try them very often. i can stick them almost 1st try everytime now. just give it a really good pull right off the start and keep pulling your back hand to the small of your back throughout the trick to be sure you have the full rotation. it's a tough one, but keep at it becasue it's a sweet trick.

Mitchell, Your head is the wrong way on the landing. Look at the shoreline, it will keep you over your toes and you'll have more air awareness.
Pete rose is more up an up and down trick so if you huck it low chances are your going to land on your butt or not make the rotation. Shorter cut, harder cut, more up and down.

| Thats what I thought, my heads the wrong way, theres to much pull on the rope its needs to be closer and more air, On this one I landed then at the bottom of the wake then got pulled out I didnt smack or anything

K-wood Kid, you never believe anything do you? it's on film, trust me, but the camera that it's on doesn't have a USB plug-in. i can't upload it until i get hold of a camera with one that can fit my tape. you realize that on stuff i say i can do and you say i didn't, i make you look like a dumby wumby whenever i get proof?

I think if you are attempting to land them wrapped, at that point in the second pic is almost exactly were you want to look, only i would want to spot the 2nd wake more for the duration of the landing. this will put you into perfect position to resist the pull of the boat.
of course keeping the handle in a tad closer wouldn't hurt, especially on the landing.

ohio_wake_2008, last time you posted a video with the toeside roll to blind crashes. Still no proof of alot of your claims. Your full of sh*t.

It doesnt matter. When he asked you to show proof, you gave every reason under the sun as to why you couldnt provide it. Is it my place to say that you cant do the trick? No. I could care less if you could or couldnt. Maybe you can, and if thats the case, I commend you on your efforts. However, to state that you can land the trick as often as you say you can, raises some doubts in many others minds. I have no problem or "e-beef" with ANYONE who posts their riding... Be it newb, or outlaw level of riding.
Hunter is a very good young rider, who has had some misfurtune with injuries. Much like myself. However, he is still working hard to recover from it, and posts videos of what he can do. For that, I respect him.
Craig and David on the other hand... Complete beef curtains. However, Craig is a hard working guy, who too is trying to fuel his passion by putting in the work. David, I dont know what the hell he adds to videos, except for comic relief. Both of those guys are perfect examples of what our industry should be about though. Hard work and good times.
Again, I am not saying you cant land this trick as often as you claim. And I could care less if you do post proof. You seem to have a working knowledge of the trick, which is good enough to give some pointers in a thread such as this, but I dont even think you really did that. You more or less made the thread about you, and what you could do... And for that, I say you are ill faded. Continue riding though, and take this website with a grain of salt.
Topic poster: you look as though you are late on your rotation. It is really hard to tell from the pic what you are doing wrong though. On a trick such as this though, you cant really wait for the pop so much. You have to have the trick timed prefectly with the pop. Its more of a timing issue with this one, and with more time and practice, you should land it pretty close to 75% of the time. Dont get discouraged after some hard bails. If you eat it, dont try it until your next set. For tricks such as this, I always find it easier to get a "rhythem" going through other tricks that you are more comforatable in. Think of yourself as having a confidence meter that you have to get filled. When you get that urge to rip it, try it. You may not fill it at all in the set you are working on, so dont force it.
I would also reccomend watching a vid of some sort, and breaking the trick down into several different points of referance. Notice how when Lucas throws it, where he is on the second part of the edge. Watch his shoulders roll as he reaches the crest. Watch his heads movement, and his shoulder turn. Its all one motion about an inch off the pop.
Most importantly though, have fun!

| too add to what blake said which was all pretty darn on the money, unlike a toeside backroll, you really want to try and explode the method grab off the wake into your hands. I really try to push off the wake as hard as i can with the sole intention of getting the board to my hand method, if i miss the grab, i missed the pop and then take a similar fall to what you are about to experience in the picture but maybe not as harsh as what that looks like it is about to become. The key to the trick is getting the grab and really torquing your head hard because the first part of the spin comes easy but once you are at about 270 degrees it becomes harder to pull around, which is when you want to reach for the handle pass which should finish the spin off right.

| Blake, i understand what you are saying. i didn't want to take the topic but i don't like when people doubt what another can do. i don't do the trick that often...just whenever i have a good session, i'll throw it and will usually land it on the first try. when i get hold of a camera to upload my videos from vacation, i'll make a video with everything on it...just give it a little time for me to find one from a friend.

ohio_wake_2008, its fine dude. Lets just give more pointers to the kid. Again, you seem like you at least know what the mechanics of the trick are, so tell him what has worked for you, and what hasnt. :et us keep this thread in the right direction, and positive.
kyle,

kyle, i actually don't do the grab. i can't do any of my inverts with grabs . it's fairly difficult, but i don't know how hard it is for me compared to actually grabbing it. i just give it a good tug and let it come around.

hang on, does a pete rose have to have a grab to be a pete rose or is it just a TS Backroll to FS 360?
I can do the TS FS 360, but I have yet to land a damn invert. Reguardless, I'm not going to try it any time soon. I'm Just curious.

| there's no need for there to be a grab to consider it a pete rose. everyone says that it is a much easier trick to do with the grab because it helps the rotation of the spin (supposedly).

if you read the index of this website, it says the way scott byerly intended was for it to include a grab. so by the books, its just a plain old simple t/s b-roll f/s 3.
