| Hate to be a newb but what exactly is an air tantrum and all that other air mess? I have never seen an invert done without using a ramp or the wake... I would like to see a video if anyone knows where I can see one. |

I've been working on getting my air backroll dialed, but I have landed it. All you do is make a super hard edge for a split second, then release all the edge at once. The pressure of the water pushes you up and around. _________________

barbarebc, shaun murray tells you how to do them in detention, and he does one in Refraction, and the tell you how to do it in The Book. I've done backrolls off the start-up roller, but I've never worked up the guts to try it in the flats. My friend can do bell airs though. _________________ www.munsonski.com

i can do regular air roll to revert, practice by doing them inside-out (start inside wake and throw off lip into the flats) i actually over-rotated the first air roll i tried. Once you can do them without edging long of the lip(just quickly gettin tension and poppin it outside), go into the flats, stop, dig the board down and sit into a hard edge without bending your knees, you want to put a lot of quick pressure into the water, immediately throw your head up and away from the water and pop the board as if u were just goin up a wake for a regular roll to revert... i'll go do some today and find a better way to explain it _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

alafiaboarder, good explanation but do you normally go out heelside or toeside and which edge do you dig in? _________________

The "Load and Release" training section of The Book shows a HS R2R.
It is done in slow motion and you can really see the edge required to do it. |
