Well there are many companies. The ones I've heard of the most are Mastercraft, Nautiques, and Malibu. If you're looking to use the boat mainly for wakeboarding any of the X-Series that mastercraft has would due fine. You can ski behind some of the X-Series Boats like the X-2 X-7 and maybe the x-9? The X-10, X-30, X-Star's wakes would not be very fun to ski behind. Otherwise if you're looking for a boat more suited to skiing a Mastercraft Prostar 109 would due fine.

Natiques I don't know all that much about since I ride behind mastercrafts mainly but if you go to their website. (www.wakeboarding.com) I would assume that the lower level models are more meant for skiing and the models like the Air Nautique 210 are more of the boats geared towards wakeboarding.

Malibus I'm not all to sure about, I know that the Wakesetter is their big wakeboarding boat. But I just tossed the name out for ya to check out. Good luck in your purchasing.

i have a 2000 malibu wakesetter and i love it. ive ridden behind and x-7 and liked it as well. if you can afford it a v-drive if prefferable, it puts the engine in the rear where you want the weight anyway, and opens up the interior of the boat drastically. most of the difference in new boat pricing as far as im concerned is in the bells and whistles. all of the newer wake boats perform well, the only boat iv'e lots of negatives about is centurion but i have no first hand experience with those boats. hope this helps. also i found my boat in the "boat trader" mag, they also have an online site i think its www.boattraderonline.com

Uh, Chukee, isn't the X-2 the same as the old X-star? Wouldn't want to ski behind that.
