alright so i head out to the lake tonight for a set. Just me and my dad went because it was rainy and there was no other boat on the lake. I finally got my courage up to try a raley and end up doing a front flip type trick and falling. Then i broke out the wakeskate and had the motion perfected within 5 tries. I strap back in and throw a huge raley, brought my board back down under me except i got a little excited at the end and stopped lookign at the boat and turned a little as a result, i took an average fall except one thing. My arm got wrapped in the handle and i got dragged behind the boat for about 20 feet. In the end i was done for the day and have a very sore arm. I got really lucky but im stoked im so close to a raley. I'm sure ill get flamed for no spotter but a spotter wouldn't have helped much becauase by the time the spotter woulda realized what was happening my arm would've luckily fallen out, as it did. _________________ I can do that. |

Luck was with you that day. A neighbor had the same a thing happen (arm caught in the handle) and it tore up his shoulder real bad. His Dad sold the boat after that. To add insult to injury, it was the first time out with the new boat.
After hearing about that injury, I started tossing the handle away from me when I fall--don't want to take any chances getting tangled up.
I'm glad your OK. _________________ If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space! |
