I just bought one of these, along with some LF Sphinx bindings, and got to ride it for the first time over Labor Day weekend. FREAKIN' AWESOME. I was riding a 1999 Hyperlite Vashon. Needless to say, this was like night and day.
The bindings were SO easy to get on/off, super comfy on, and had a great adjustment/fit to them.
The board? Amazing cutting and edging. I had learned to edge/carve pretty well on that HL that basically had nothing on the bottom, so I put all 3 fins on each end and that sucker locks in when you cut back into that wake. This thing felt 2X as fast when I made the cut to go W2W.
I'm considering removing the center fin to help with surface tricks, butter slides, etc and leave the 2 outside curved fins on it. Anybody else have one of these boards or a similar setup? I'm wondering how much it will affect that "locked in" feeling on my cuts. I don't know if I want to give that up. I may just have to ditch the surface tricks and start working on taking advantage of the bigger air I'm getting. |

| the team is a VERY fast board and can be taken very far into the flats with pretty solid landings, which is why Lyman most likely rides it. The team is probably the most popular cable board for air tricks out there because how fast it is. It is the most similar board to the old school belmont so all the cable kids love it |

your center fin won't have much of an effect on your edging, It's the side of the board that gives you the hold you need to cut in. It will slide a little when you roll in for your cut, but once you're on edge, that fin has little to no effect. Ride a roam and find out about using the board's shape to get edge, then you'll be able to kill it on a board you're already comfortable with _________________

I have an 05' team with camo tranists and I prefer the board without the center fins. It is so much easier to do surface tricks. Give it a try, you may just love your board even more!!
