Hmmm... Your call.
These are closely matched boats.
I prefer the 210 as I prefer the wake, layout and styling.
The X1 however can take the rough stuff a touch better and some argues is the better handling. Wake is your choice. Some prefer the styling.
Check the kit levels side by side. What spec (SE, Ltd, Team) are you comparing against the X1? _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

| If you think the X-10 is better, why are you choosing between the 210 and X-1? |

I would say that these 2 boats are almost dead-nuts even. A tie. I love the interior of both and the wakes of both are among the best available anywhere - with any budget. And that says a lot.
Some specific comparison factoids:
- In some of the X-1's/v205's, the belly locker is too narrow.
- The X-1 "feels" roomier.
- The X-1 takes the chop a wee bit better
- The X-1 upholstery is more plush but seems less durable.
- The wake of the 210 is more rampy - the X1 is mound-shaped - like a snowboard hit.
- The 210 takes weight slightly better - as in, shows a better wake with less weight.
- They both are on my chart
- It would be hard to go wrong with either.
Translation: They are both super solid choices. |

The 210 is more rampy? I was thinking the opposite.
Both really pop you, the 210 is a little more like hitting a wall though. I've never ridden behind another boat boat that gives you the same kind of pop as these two. The biggest drawback to the 210 for me was the trough right before the wake. If you land just past the wake it's really harsh. landing on the downslope is sometimes hard as well because there isn't that much of a ramp on the 210. The X-1 for me was the best of all worlds. The wake pops you really nice but there's a decent ramp to land on for wake to wakes. I have the 05 interior I don't know if it's different in the X-1 but it really is a heavy duty feeling vinyl.
Both are great boats for sure. If you're getting a brand new 210 I would think it going to be 5-10k more. You do get the 5 year warranty with that , I think there's some value there for sure.
You can't go wrong. |

Bambamski, I guess I know what you mean about the trough. It never really bothered me, but I see your point. I do think the 210's wake is rampier, but maybe I factor in the lip that you describe as hitting a wall, as part of the ramp. The only "wall" feeling I ever got was behind a DD 1st gen Wakesetter. I didn't like that one at all - but that was close to 10 years ago.
We agree though - both boats are tough to argue against. |

ok thanks alot guys, because you think they are so evenly matched i think i will go for the x1, just because its 6k(aussie dollar) cheaper.
Bambamski, i test drove a 210 last weekend and i found that landing on the downside of the wake alot rougher than other boats. _________________ i love lamp. Crikey |

wake_quake,
There's no doubt that the 210 is probably the hardest boat to ride behind if you're not used to that kind of wake. The first time I rode behind a 210 I still owned my X-10 and I pretty much hated the 210 wake. However after riding behind my X-2 (x-1) I found the transition much easier to go between the two wakes. If you're used to riding behind something like a VLX or Tige then it probably would take you 7-10 times behind the 210 until you got used to how different it really is.
With that said, both boats really aren't what I would call newbie friendly. Behind my boat you do have to go much faster than other boats to clean the wake up which newbies don't like. I think the X-1 is a little better on that front then the 210. I found that the you had to go at least 1-2 mph faster until the wake didn't have the white was because of how steep the 210 wake is.
This is pretty much the reason I went with the X-2 (x-1). You don't need a ton of weight to get a great wake, but it still gives you the same kind of pop without the really harsh landings of the 210.
Good luck. |

It works fine, especially if you've never used PP before. _________________ wakeboards

Just like Dragon said. We never had perfect pass on our old boat and bought the X-2 with the MC cruise control. It works perfectly. Geoff on the board here as a 21v with perfect pass, I guess you can program different names and speeds into the perfect pass. I think by the time he finds a name I can set the speed on mine though. I see no value in buying perfect pass if your boat has the MC cruise. |
