I just put down a deposit for a x45 with the l9 6.0 cadillac engine. This boat has 19 hours on it and comes with a fully factory warranty starting from the date of my purchase. This boat is completely loaded with everything (4 tower speakers, lights 2 amps etc) except perfect pass. (even has a heater). He is giving it to me for 63k. (67k out the door). Check out the pics that I took today. (still needs to be cleaned up)

I have been looking around for used boats and I cant even find one from a private seller for less. Seems like a great deal.

Yes. It has snap-in carpet. They will put in boat once I purchase.

And in reference to the price of a used boat; I searched in Cali and Nevada. there is one in Arizona but it has more hours and is only 1 k less.. and with this boat I get the warranty from MY date of purchase.

lol.... the sales guys said there are more cars in his area with marine speakers and amps than with normal ones... apparently they have to remove everything or it will get stolen in the middle of the night. I recommended some rotweilers as yard dogs.

$102K? You have to be joking? MC .... way over priced. I guess they are really taking advantage of the dumba$$ consumer aren't they?

About $10-15k too costly for my taste. If you wanted to save some dough-look around. Good looking boat though!

Have you looked at boattrader.com and flipsell.com?

spend the extra $$ and get the Perfect Pass installed! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

You will not regret the extra little bit of dough spent for it.

You might be able to get the dealer to buy the perfect pass system and roll it into the price of the boat, that way you can finance it with the boat instead of having to pay for it out of pocket.
Sick boat. IF I had $67k lying around, I could see myself buying that...

Here is what the dealer said about Perfect Pass:

A Cruise Control system has been standard on all MasterCraft’s since the inception of the 2005 model line-up…MC adopted their own proprietary system - with very similar rpm or speed based programming, paddle-wheel, LCD screen, etc as Perfect Pass – however, the actual Perfect Pass unit is available as an Optional Upgrade. Perfect Pass offers a larger LCD display screen and the capability to store 8 pre-sets…I just need to check and see what this particular boat has incorporated. I believe it has the MC System, but as mentioned, the PP System could be installed if desired (typically $944).

I love the 'how would you have spent it' game.

Paying off the house is a good one. That would probably be my vote too. Or a head start on my MBA. But we're talking boats here...

Scenario 1.
20k for a Sport Nautique for fresh water use
20k for a Sport Nautique for salt water use
23k for a Toyota Sequoia

OR

Scenario 2.
1 25k Super Sport
1 25k Center console for diving/fishing
1 13k Old Toyota Pickup

Lots of ways to play that one.

What's your mortgage rate at? Seems like around the time you bought it, should be low. You'd probably be better putting it into investments. No debt is fun but if you can put $60k into something costing 5% or something making 8-10%..

If I needed a boat I'd toss in $12-30k and get an Excel or SAN and save the rest.

Wakebrad, sure - whatever. My mortgage is in the low 5's.

Well anyway the boat is likely financed so this game dosent matter. We all know investing is better than buying boats from a practicality standpoint.

However - we are on the boats forum right?

I was thinking about taking the 67k and buying a 4 plex or another income property. But then I thought to myself "how fun is a 4 plex?"
