My bro has a wakeboard, so I might get a wakeskate. He lets me use his board because every time we go out hes there, so I may just get a wake skate. I cant do much on a wakeboard, I can kinda jump one wake, im workin on butterin the wake and doin surface 180's, but should I get a skate? I skate and snowboard already and id like to do skate tricks on the water other then normal big air wakeboard tricks, so should I get the scape 107? And finally, is the hyperlite scape worth it? Im really not lookin to spend like over 100 on a skate because im not that good, but I hear that the wood splits and the paint peels. Im not 2 worried about the paint peeling, but would the wood splittin be a problem?

i wouldnt waiste money on a scape, because when you start progressing your going to want something better. throw in a little extra cash and get something that will last you.

provin1327,

this is what you want. http://www.integrity-wake.com/

a bit more than the wood, but your last skate until you decide to buy another one.

it is by far the best board I have ever been on, wake board or skate.

I am a hyperlite owner, of all my boards and have loved every one. Except the scape. I have had nothing but problems with it. After my first run the paint on the bottom started to chip and the foam on the top started to come off. I repaired that one sectrion (6inch long by 2 inch wide) with liquid nails. Next ride out it did the same thing on another section. Called up hyperlite and asked them what they can do. They said bring it back to where you got it and they should give you a new one because of the warrenty. The place i got it said that is hyperlites job. So now I am taking off the foam top and buying skateboard grip tape to put on it. Huge pain in the butt that could have been avoided by using a better adhesive.

Get the liquid force. I have riden that board and it is really good.

Although I love my karma 111. You could always ait to see what ronix has to offer in a few months

provin1327,

http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=58536

I know they are more $$$$ than you have in your budget. But spending a 100 and then replacing it in a few months is the worst investment imo. I am just trying to save you money in the long run by gettting a board that will not crack or break. I am speaking from my own experience.
