Hey, ive been going wake to wake consistantly, and i can do grabs and stuff, and im working on my 180s and i think a backroll would be pretty cool to try, and even cooler to pull off, do you guys think im ready, and if you do, can i have some suggestions, i need a confidence boost before i go out next time, so if you guys could give me some advice, id really appriciate it.
Thanks guys

| well, can u pull those 180's wake to wake? And can you do them toeside and heelside? if you can do all those, I wouldn't see a problem in you doing it, just remember, it's way better to have really good 180's and grabs and stuf like that then to just abbandom then for inverts, if you dont have all the 180's and grabs down, wait a bit till you try the backroll, but if your feeling up for it, I think you should go for it man, good luck |

this address will help you with your backroll but i really think you should try it man because i landed 2 of them before i even dreamt of going w2w toeside and i had only landed a few heelside w2w 180s dont be afraid of trying because i dont think you will get hurt well at least i havent |

jakenj, he should get the basics down before he goes after inverts like you apparently did.... _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

| Alright, i think that im gonna try the backroll next time i go out, atleast to try it. But im defanately not gonna forget about all my building blocks, like perfecting toesides and 180s and those things, but i wanna try an invert, and if i land it, itll be an excelant addition to my trick repatois |

| dude if u got ur 180s dialed and stuff, just do it. they dont hurt at all, even if u land on ur head. just hold ur edge all the way through the wake and look over ur leading shoulder. |

like a few people said, just go for it, I landed a tantrum before i could do a w2w fs 180. And the falls dont hurt as bad, just keep ur edge and keeps ur eyes open, your first three times you wont know where u are in the air but in time u will, hardest part of landing a invert is trying to do it the first time |

do a 3 first, those are more difficult and will teach you to use the handle/tension more.
However, "spins look cool, but flips get the chicks"
Just try the backroll, the hardest part about new tricks is getting the cah'honehs to try them. Once you fall and realize it wasn't that bad, you'll get over it and keep trying it until you stomp it down "cold blooded." _________________ Neuston Boards

just make sure your hardest cut is right as you hit the wake then throw your head to your back shoulder,
make sure you push the handle down and extend with your legs at the top of the wake and keep the handle at your waist the whole way |

Haha, well it took me almost a year to get the balls to do one, but i tried a few yesterday when i went out. I was close to gettin all the way around, but wasnt landin em. Eh, i had fun, and im lookin foward to tryin some more.
And you guys were right, it was better to get my other stuff down better, like my 180's and toesides, and i'm workin on 3's. I think this season will be a good one to progress in. |
