I have experience with the hinge tech Factions but not the Torq. The hinge tech system kicks @$$. From what I have heard you are better off to spend the extra 60 bucks and go with the factions. Super comfortable. _________________ "What counts is not necessarily the size of the the dog in the fight. Its the size of the fight in the dog." - Gen. George S. Patton |

| I have them and I love them. The only problem Ive had was the excess laces would get tangled and they were very hard to see in the water because they were black.I put white laces in them to solve the problem. |

That is an excellent idea!
I just sent my Factions back to exchange them for a smaller size. Awesome comfort but they run a little big. _________________ "What counts is not necessarily the size of the the dog in the fight. Its the size of the fight in the dog." - Gen. George S. Patton |

The hinge system is a joke. It's just extra weight and more things to break. LF shane's of Watson's are twice as easy to get into, and are way more comfortable once you are in them. _________________

| I have these bindings and love the ease of entering and exiting them, but my only fear is that my feet tend to stay in the bindings even during hard falls. |

| A few of the guys i ride with have had some...the only dislikes they voiced are the traditional complaints about CWBs extra extra long laces, and my friend said he had a hinge pop on him in competition once but that seems extremely unlikely to consistently happen and it couldve very well been user error...hes a bit absent minded heh |

Don't worry about not coming out of the bindings in a hard fall.My feet are size 10 and the bindings are the large/x large...I was doing a ollie and screwed up and stuck the nose tip in.Next thing I know it was off laces done up and the hinges closed.
Just found the lace holder on the back of them.hopefully they will keep the laces out of the way.
I love my torqs hate the black (hard to see in the water) overlong laces
I also love my pure 140

No, it takes a little bit of force to pop them down.
It's never happened to me. |

| Ive had the latch come open on bails before, just depending on how you land.you feel the looseness, close it and your ready for your next run.It wont just pop open while you are riding. |

Dude I have them and I love them. They are comfortable and they are easy to get my foot into. I even can get in them and out of them in the water. The only complant is just like everyone else. The Laces are hella long!! Thats it!! Other wise they are the best bindings I have ever been in. _________________ Screw work I am going WAKEBOARDING!!!!!!! |

Let's examine what you just said..
The hinge boots weigh less than Shane's or Watsons. I know, because we weighed them at a boat show with a digital scale. The Shane and Watsons with the pro plate and hardware weigh more than all CWB and HL boots.
More things to break. I have seen zero breaks with any of the hinge boots I am around and I have heard of zero on these forums. Shane's and Watson's...by far the most talked about trainwreck on the water. I'm sure you have seen the pics.
The Torq's are half the price of the Shane's. Seriously...half the price.
There must be an eight year old that just learned how to jump wake to wake today and surpassed your skills. He wears hinge...in turn, you hate the boots. _________________ I had ribs for lunch. |
