| I've been boarding for 2 months now. Started on a cheap Obrien. Got a LF Trip with Alpha bindings about 3 weeks ago. Big improvement over the Obrien. Is this considered a beginners board? I can get wake to wake, but not getting much air. Watched a video of myself the other night and it was humbling. I felt like I was 3-4 feet in the air when in reality it was 1-2 feet in the air! I'm sure my form has a lot to do with it, but I was just wondering if this board with a continuous rocker is going to limit my ability to get up higher? Anyone ride a Trip, what's your thoughts? |

Hey,
I responded once, but it got lost somehow.
I've ridden Trips138 for two seasons....its a solid board. I think the fins help you to track, but make slides a little harder (not a lot). I get decent pop off of it (I'm not trying anything fancy, just some jumps and slides).
Be careful with the small fins. I dinged one a bit and it now seems a little trickier to get the board to release for slides.
Also, I just upgraded from OBrien Base bindings to LF Transits....makes a big difference in control and seems to give more pop.
Enjoy the board...I have |

hey,
Both me and My Brother Use a LF Trip with SPhynx Bindings and its worked very well. I can Carve Greatly with it, Almost like a surfer or a dogtown skater
My brother can clear the wake effortlessly as well as do tricks with the board. So I dont see it as a beginners board.
Hoped I helped |

The trip is one of the most ridden and popular boards ever. It was top of the line and somewhat revolutionary when it first came out. Anyone who has been riding for any lenght of time has likely ridden the trip at least once.
Now that many people think they need a 3-stage board continuous boards, ex. trip, have fallen out of favor. That is an excellent board and if you are not getting the pop you want, nothing against you, but it ain't that boards fault. 3-stage boards are harder to ride especially for a beginner. Stick with the trip. There have been many wakeboards comps won on a trip, work on your technique. _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |

Thanks for the post Partyb, and you are probably right, any pop I'm not getting is probably me and not the board right now! _________________ "This is looking really good" |

| yeah its probably not the board because I ride a hyperlite motive with a continuos rocker and I get about 4 feet of air. try to straighten your knees when you reach the wake. I realized that helps a lot with the amount of air you get. |
