Wakeskate or normal skate shoes?

Hey i was wodnering if people buy wakeskate shoes or just wear skate shoes. Thanks.

Most people buy wakeskate shoes, but you can just wear old skate shoes if you want.

Some people also drill holes in the bottom of their skate shoes to get the water out or somethin, I've never minded a little weight in my shoes, but some people have a phobia of it.

I just tried it for the 1st time last week (I'm addicted now) & wore my old skate shoes. They worked fine, just took about 2 days to dry.
