Imperfect Pass

I've got a Mastercraft X10 310HP with Perfect Pass and it just doesn't accurately control the speed. Being in Hong Kong we're on the sea and often out in less than ideal conditions. If its really flat and the boat isn't too loaded up it can just about cope but if its a bit bumpy and we're loaded, set it at 20mph and we'll be doing 18 then 22, off every bump.
I've had the official Mastercraft engineer fiddle with all the kit, adjust tensions, servo, KDW NN settings the lot and he's stumped.

I'm wonering if it just can't cope with the heavier boat (than say X2 or Xstar) and smaller engine (than say the 340s many people are using)

Anyone got this kit and got it working? Any ideas?

what year x-10 ? is it the throttle by wire?

I've never been on a boat that PP holds really well in choppy water?

Have you tried running in RPM mode? I do that all the time in choppy water or when the boat is fully loaded, that seems to help my situation a great amount.
