I'm the proud owner of a '98 Mastercraft PS205 DD. Last winter I plumbed the boat for ballast. Im presently using Barefoot Internationals Fly High fat sacks. They are great, bullet proof, with fantastic fittings. I'm presently using a 350lb sack up front, and 2 750lb sacks next to the enging. This is where the problem comes in. We never fill the 750's up all the way because the wake is TOO HUGE. So we fill the bags up 2/3. The problem is the bag is huge and partially filled and makes the interior a pain in the a$$ to get around. I wish they produced a sack that is 550lbs, and in there standard line-up. Yes, I know I can get custom sacks made. But it seems to me that the 550lb size fat sack is a common size. Why don't they produce one standard? Just venting. What's your opinion? _________________ SLIP IT ON AND RIDE IT! |

| I would say you need to fill them all the way up and add more weight to the nose to mellow the wake back out or buy a v-drive. I have the 750's in my v-drive lockers and they fit great. That was the deal, my wife let me get a new boat, but she didn't want to see any sacs around. I was able to get around 2100lbs worth of sacs and lead hidden in the boat. |

Im gonna go with he dosent want to buy a new boat, have you though about maybe getting 2 more 350lbs sacs and hiding some lead around. Dosent the 98 have the compartment in the rear? i think you could get a couple 100lbs of lead back there. _________________ stay clean, like me

The boat was purchased last fall, and will have 100 hours put on it this year. I got the boat at a great price, so I'm not in the market for a V drive. I reasently purchased a pair of 400lb V drive sacks to replace the 750's. I also borrowed from work, 50lb steel shot bags. I borrowed 4 of them. So we will see how this works. _________________ SLIP IT ON AND RIDE IT! |
