Does anyone know where I can get teak wood, or someone that will do teak repair in the Sac area? I had a kid ride his bike right into the back swim deck which broke off a big chunk of wood and now it sags really bad whenever someone stands on it. I've asked every boat shop I've been into and nobody can help.

I know its not in your area but we use Pete for Teak fabrication and repair. If all else fails give him a call. Otherwise most high end cabinet shops should have access to exotic woods.

I spent 75 bucks for 4 board feet of teak wood.... The most expensive wood they had in Van Nuys CA!..... just to build up the bottom of my teak platform to add an under the platform ladder... I did NOT tell my wife what I paid for it! Wink Laughing

There are a couple of places for picking up wood in Sac and you can probably do the work yourself fairly cheap. At least cheaper than having somebody do it for you.
In Rancho there is Hughes Hardwoods and Aura Wood, both are pretty close to each other so, if one doesn't have any available you can go to the other.

I would keep teak and all other splintery materials away from my sac. Wink
