I'm selling a 2000 X-Star. It looks and runs like it's brand new for 1/2 the price... Here's the link:

I have more pics of the interior too if you interested. It's spotless.

The 96-up 205 DD is also the same hull as the:
1999-2002 X-star
2002-2005 X2
2006-2007 X1

An other question, how does a 2000 x-star compare to a 2006 or 2007 x-star?
If I would buy a 2000 x-star and set it up with enough ballast and people, would it throw as good of an wake as a 2006 x-star?

Never been behind a new xstar but hear you have to load like 3000 pounds to get them to throw a killer wake. Many people prefer the old xstar wake over the new. Old xstar is one of if not the best wake I have ever ridden.

great, I will seriously consider to get one of those for next season..
Just hope my budget is good for it, otherwise it will be another year before I buy my wakeboardingboat.

They are 2 very different wakes.
The new x-star has a really long transition as opposed to the older x-star being a little more steep with less transition.
It takes less weight to get a really big wake on the older x due to size difference.

If the 96-02 x-stars are out of your range, the MC 205v is the exact same hull with the exct same wake.

The MC 205V is the best bang for the buck. Same exact boat as the X-Star (for the years they were comparible).

This is a 2004 MC (Prostar) 205V. It is the exact same hull as the original X-Star/X2/now X1.

I think I have said it before P hat in Cincy, but I love your boat.

It may be my favorite Mastercraft pic boat of all time.

The best thing is that there are a ton of people thinking, “I’d rather have an X-Star/X-2/X-1/X-wife” not even knowing…….. CLASSIC…….

Love that boat…..and nice sundeck ornament as well.

X-Star/X-2/X-1/X-wife is a option package that is put on a 205V.

Just like "Air" is a package put on a Super Sport.

Same boat, throw on a tower, ballast and graphics........

Really nice picture man!

6 boards and a hot chick is what you need to decorate your boat... Very Happy

Thanks guys. I knew she was a diamond in the rough when I first saw her. Same goes for the boat! Laughing

www.domednumbers.com is correct. They were great to work with and the numbers are multilayered/colored. You can see a close-up detail in my profile link.

E.J. is correct in stating that in many cases (not all) the 'wakeboard' version of boats have a counterpart that might be a ski/runabout version. The PS 205V is the original X-star/X2/now X1 in sheep's clothing.

If you are a DIYer, you can have some fun...and save some $$$.

E.J. ...really great words...thanks! Cool
