|
|
So one of the noobs posted this in trick tips section asking about the trick. Thought it was a temper tantrum but was actually Parks' switch double mobe. Anyhow after watching this a few times, i realized that Parks did not recieve nearly enough credit for this trick. It is equally as impressive as him landing a 1080 if not more impressive. To date, I am claiming this to be the best trick ever landed on a wakeboard. Just think if this was anyone other than parks doing this trick, how impressed you would actually be. Parks is bar none the best rider in the world hurt or not and this sheer defiance of physics proves that.
You can watch any video up to 5 or 6 years ago and watch parks do tricks that are now a lot of guys signature tricks. Check out Hype for instance and watch Parks' perfect nuclear toeside roll to blind. Most people think Harf started that one, but it makes me further believe that Parks did the blind pete before harf as well and just let harf claim it as his signature trick. I have decided that all tricks in wakeboarding are a based on a conspiracy theory leading directly to parks bonifay, as the inventor of every trick and letting his friends claim it as their own.

| i'ma have to agree that that dbl mobe is prolly the most gangsta move i've ever seen on the water...and i'd prolly have to agree with ur theory...it just always seems like everytime u hear ab someone throwin somethin new a vid seems to pop up of parks throwin it down like 3 years earlier...kinda crazy |

| He has recently said that after this knee injury and not riding, he hasn't been this stoked to ride sincehe was 14 years old, and plans on landing two tricks ASAP, hs bs 9 and a hs bs 10......STAY HEALTHY PARKS, SHOW ALL THESE NOOBS THAT DOUBT YOUR ABILITIES HOW GOOD YOU ACTUALLY ARE, and yes, if you doubt his abilities, i consider you a wally/noob....its like doubting the Vandall and then bam, just popped out of the woodwork. They are the enigmas of our sport |

i think he meant fs 10 and bs 10.
I dont think harf claimed the nuke roll to blind as a lot of pros do that but the nuke blind pete is definitely a harf signature. Im pretty sure harf's the first to do a nuke whirly, nuke whirly 5 and nuke moby dick. I'll give parks props but im not really into his riding style. he's fun to watch for sure especially in person or at a contest and he does some wacked out stuff (anyone see his hand plant ) but does he have to tick tock out of everything??? especially if your filming. pass the Bubb Rubb handle. |

| he meant bs 9 and bs 10, the handplant was accidental, he was falling and somehow managed to save himself on the slider and just so happened to plant his hand. it was a reaction but definately not intentional |

kyle, ya i saw the handplant in person. its just an example of the control he has on a board and the wacked out stuff he pulls off. i think he should get a fs 10 before thinking about a bs 10. If you think about it you dont even see parks pulling off 9s very often. not like some of the other wakeboarders that are spinning machines. harfs got like switch hs 9, ts 9, hs bs 7(i think) and ts bs 5 . |

Handplant? How would that work?
That double mobe is sick and I've watched it over and over again and just don't get tired of it. As for signature tricks, I hope Parks didn't take my fashion raley !
Parks, you puss, get back and ride! PLEASE _________________

kyle, how is he missing the meaning of your post if he doesnt know a wakeboard term that i used?
QNev, ya the handplant was ridiculous especially cuz it was in a competition. basically got kicked wrong trying to gap the PWT a-frame. was in almost raley position put his hand down on the flat, pushed off and landed back on his board and rode away.

do you realize how Bubb Rubb up his knee was? I know you were probably jk but I was fortunate to go to a two day demo with parks and he was explaining what was wrong with his knee. Basically he was riding without his acl and meniscus and the bone was riding on top of the bone so if he had hard landings the bone would get bruised or possibly chipped. After explaining how bad his knee he tore it up riding 2-3 sets a day for two days and casing the biggest ts bs 3 off the d-up. definitely not a puss. |

oh and watch mix tape, parks nails switch heel 9's.... parks best in the world? yes... biggest innovator? quite possibly... seeing him ride is intense and i wish i could have seen him back in the day in person because i prob would have stuff myself... my nitche is more stylish riding thus the reasons my favorite riders are lyman and vandall... but if parks wants to... he can tear anybody up on a wakeboard... im sure harf would agree _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

Kyle may be on to something. Parks was also the first to land a 313 but let Shaun Murray claim it as his own.
Think about it, EVERY SINGLE trick ever thrown on a wakeboard or a slider Parks has already landed or would land if you gave him a handful of chances (expect maybe a KGB 5 or HS mobe 5...and I stress maybe). There may never be a wakeboarder with his bag of tricks ever again. Sure, some people prefer the style of other's--and guys like Randall, Danny, and Lyman all very good at doing what they do--but only Parks has every faction of wakeboarding completely mastered.
Oh yeah, and I think his tick-tock ollie is absolutely horrible looking; it just looks like he's spazzing out with ADD. |

| kyle, actually i would argue that he is better switch. Parks is goofy (supposedly) but he has only done the 1080 switch. a double roll with a 180 and a double mobe both done switch. |
