Just want to reccomend this movie to everyone out there. It's laugh till you cry funny. I was very surprised.

I heard the complete opposite - stupid, dumb..........as my friend stated.
Also commented they should have seen Barnyard instead.

I second this movie being stupid. It had some funny parts but It lacked the comedy that I got in Anchorman. I do not reccomend the movie, I would rather go see Clerks 2 again. That was a hilarious movie.

It was very stupid but at the same time it was funny. That's how all Will Ferrell movies are.

But what ruined the movie was ricky and the french flamer make out. it was sick.

IMO scooter, you can't compare these two movies..Clerks II is in a league of its own

Actually I thought the part where Will Ferrel made out with the other guy was funny just because think of all the redneck Nascar fans who go to see the movie and then have to watch 2 guys make out. Just picturing their reactions makes me crack up. Laughing

i thought it was funny...it was stupid, but funny. i thought it was better than anchorman just because that was too dumb. i'd recommend it to anyone because it's worth a watch.

Dragonlady8, I know. I read your post. My statement still stands. You probably wouldn't appreciate this movie for what it is (dumb, stupid humor). Not saying that is bad, but you have to have a certain level of immaturity to enjoy it. I anticipated it WAY too much, so it wasn't as funny as I expected. It seems like the type of movie that you have to watch a few times for it to be hilarious, because then you find the little details.

The first time I saw Anchorman, I didn't think it was that funny. But everytime I watch it, it gets more and more hilarious.

I Loved it!!! however there were some parts that i was just bored with bc it was too cheesey but the funny parts made up for that!

there are going to be alot of qoutes used from this movie! i found myself texting a friend that had seen it the night b4 and qouting my fav lines to him! "you dusty old fart go shave youre balls old man", "got something for ya yeah bought it on sale at target!", "im all jacked up on mountain dew!", and "ill come at you like a spider monkey! " it went on for about an hour!!! Laughing

i do live in nascar hell here in charlotte tho so i believe i found it sooooo funny bc EVERYONE here loves nascar sooo much and i dont really like it at all! making fun of nascar is a ok in my book!!!

the make out part was pretty gross but like DRAGON88 said the rednecks packed in and me looking at them at that part was pretty hilarious!!! Laughing

ok so on a baby name note!!! this line was the best but only bc i took it personal and my daughter Makayla was sitting right beside me!!!

ummmm..... yeah i named her after that show!!!! i looked at her and pointed and yelled "Makayla!!!!" that you LOL! That part was great for us! Laughing

another thing that was cool was seeing people i know in the background and my girl Lindsay was in the scene where they were at Girard house and the girls were sitting around she is the 3rd girl the blonde

all i know is that all day i have been wanting to snort lucky charms!!! Laughing

my favorite lines were "8 pounds, 6 ounces baby Jesus" and "I'm saying Grace right now, and I like the baby Jesus most. Now when you say Grace, you can say teenager Jesus or beard Jesus or whatever." hahahahahaha that entire scene was by FAR the funniest in the movie.

"you made that Grace your bitch dad!"

Saw it yesterday & thought it was pretty hilarious but I thought it would be better.

I think it will be one of those movies that gets funnier the more times you watch it.

I am not starting a debate here. So don't be a jerk and comment if you don't have anything constructive to add.
But, IF you are interested in a Christian review of the movie, here is a site that offers reviews which include reviews by average Christians. I'm telling you ahead of time. If you are not a Christian, and if you don't care about language and sexuality in movies, the review will do you no good. I'm recommending it for people that might want to know what's in the movie from a Christian perspective.

I saw it this weekend. I thought it was pretty funny. But there were some painfully stupid scenes that drug on and on.

I'm sure Nascar appreciated the scene with the french dude driving, sipping a machiato. Like it's so easy to drive a car with 42 others going 180+.

All in all, I laughed a lot, but not sure I'd buy it.
